Ekimeet gives the people at a gathering a few people worth meeting each day, each with a reason, and a network that stays after the event. It runs in the phone's browser from a QR code, beside the registration you already use.
Who it is for
Research schools and PhD programmes first. Then departmental research days and seminar series, workshops and doctoral consortia co-located with big conferences, society annual meetings and meetups.
What attendees get
- A deck with a reason: up to ten people a day, each with why, built from papers, repositories and what they came for.
- Mutual yes: a conversation opens only when both say yes. Nobody can message them uninvited.
- Keep your network: who they met, where, and what to follow up on. No app to delete when the event ends.
What organizers get
- A QR code and a join code for the poster or the first slide.
- The programme, with meeting slots in the breaks.
- An opt-in directory of the attendees who chose to be listed.
- Summary counts afterwards: joined, checked in, mutual yeses, meetings. Never who matched whom.
Trust
- Hosted in the EU, on our own servers; backups stay in the EU.
- No outside AI: matching runs on our own models on our own hardware.
- No scores and no paid reach: nobody ranks higher for money.
- Mutual opt-in: nobody is contacted without their own yes.
- A named safety contact before an event can be published.
